The Firs is seeking dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Waterfront Manager. As a Waterfront Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of guests at our facility. This is a paid position with opportunities for career growth and development.

Duties

• Oversee lifeguards and make sure they are performing their duties.
• Schedule lifeguards for shifts and make sure that the waterfront is adequately staffed.
• Monitor swim areas to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all guests.
• Enforce swimming rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may occur.
• Provide excellent guest service by answering questions and assisting with inquiries.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues or malfunctions.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary.
• Assist with heavy lifting as required for maintenance.

Skills

• Ability to supervisor other staff
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming techniques
• Current lifeguard certification, including CPR and First Aid training
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to enforce rules effectively
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform rescue procedures if needed

Qualifications

• Certified Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate, or equivalent
• American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, or equivalent
• American Red Cross Standard First Aid, or equivalent

Schedule

• Two 4 hour shifts per day with a 1 hour lunch break (lunch is provided on 8 hour work days).
• Weekend shifts start in May.
• Weekday and weekend shifts June through August.
• Weekend shifts in September.

BONUS

• If you hired and start by May 1st there is a $250 bonus.
• If you stay through the end of the season (October 1st), there is another $250 bonus.
